About Kenny Schoemig
Hi, my name is William Kenneth Schoemig, but you can call me Kenny. I am a husband, father, educator, trivia connoisseur, and Utah native.

My love for education started when I was young. For as long as I can remember, my mom would buy me books for any occasion. I loved reading and learning about dinosaurs, ancient cities, and fantastical adventures. I would read anything I could get my hands on, even some really fantastic cereal boxes. I want to help my students see how reading is a powerful tool for learning.

I hope to emulate my grandfather, who was a high school history teacher and coach. He was a firm believer in teaching his students to be inquisitive and think for themselves. I want to help my students develop a natural curiosity that will lead to lifelong learning.

My desire to teach Deaf students comes from my experience growing up with Deaf parents. I am a firsthand witness to their determination, intellect, and resiliency. I aim to empower my students with these qualities, so that they can set and achieve high goals.

My hope is to make a difference in the classroom by sharing my love for reading, engendering curiosity, and by empowering my students with self-confidence. I want the kids to see that I am excited to be there and I want to help them learn.
